Filipino-American filmmakers at the Los Angeles Film Festival

Posted on June 22, 2010

This past weekend, I had the pleasure to meet two up and coming Filipino-American filmmakers, Andrew Luis and Philip G. Flores. Both gentlemen are each presenting their feature film debuts at the Los Angeles Film Festival, which has taken over LA Live in downtown Los Angeles.

These talented and friendly movie directors were really cool to talk with, and I hope that their participation in this major international festival will serve as a launching pad for their careers. When Fil-Am filmmakers gain mainstream attention for their work like they have, it’s great for all Filipinos. By supporting them and their artistic endeavors during their film festival run and in the future, we’re helping build a stronger Fil-Am community.

Here’s info on each of their films and where you can check them out.
